Postmodernity and Metamodernity

Tradition. Authors repeat the old and perfect the copying of models. From the beginning of the Middle Ages to the end of the 19th century.
Modernity. Each author invents his own style. A flourishing diversity of styles. The turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Postmodernity. The second half of the 20th century. New authors parasitize old ones, destroying and ridiculing the various authorial styles of modernity.
Metamodernity. Authorship and the personality of the author move into the background. The current problems of humanity come to the foreground. Their depiction, discussion, and attempted solution overshadow earlier conflicts and disagreements. The 21st century.
